Environmental Protection Programs
The farm's reforestation program consists of 30 acres of local fruit trees and hard woods, and has been in action for more than five years. The plan consists of active and passive reforestation. The active portion has planted thousands of new trees, while the passive portion promotes naturally occurring new tree growth.
Organic Farm
The two keys to a successfully farm are soil enrichment and pest control. The organic farm does both to perfection without the use of chemicals or any non organic compound. Our composting program creates an extremely rich soil properly balanced in potassium, nitrogen, and phosphate. Natural pesticides created from chilies and garlic ensure the health of every crop. The farm currently grows the following:
- broccoli
- cauliflower
- cabbage
- variety of lettuce including romano
- egg plant
- brussels sprouts
- bell peppers
- green beans
- scallions
- onions
- strawberries
- black berries
- avocado
- orange trees
- grape fruit trees
- peach trees
- apple trees
- apricot trees
- bananas
